Deck overview

This mono-blue deck is commanded by Imoen, Mystic Trickster and the Dungeon Delver background, focusing on taking the initiative early and racing through the Undercity dungeon with doubled room triggers. Dungeon Delver turns early dungeon rooms into massive value engines, finding basic lands, pumping creatures, draining life, and ultimately cheating two large creatures onto the battlefield via Throne of the Dead Three. Meanwhile, Imoen provides consistent card draw at each end step while you hold the initiative. The deck supports this engine with cheap evasive creatures, blink spells such as Ghostly Flicker and Displace, and defensive tools like Propaganda and Aetherize to protect your initiative status. In the late game, the deck overwhelms opponents with large, flying token swarms, unblockable attackers, or an infinite blink loop utilizing Archaeomancer and Peregrine Drake.
