Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and midrange strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign that leverages topdeck manipulation to cheat high-cost odd-mana-value spells into play. The deck develops mana rocks and library-arranging tools like Sensei's Divining Top and Brainstorm during the early turns to cast Yennett on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to deploy game-warping haymakers such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse for free. While the deck boasts immense value generation, asymmetric stax elements, and efficient spot removal, it relies heavily on combat damage over multiple turn cycles to close the game. Because Yennett lacks haste and native shielding, the deck must navigate removal windows carefully using combat tricks like Reconnaissance and selective sweepers like Extinction Event to maintain dominance.
