Deck overview

This Simic deck focuses on Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief, an evasive 2-drop commander that copies any single-target spell cast on another creature onto herself. The strategy establishes an early host creature alongside Ivy, then casts cost-effective Auras and combat buffs to receive double value on every spell. As Auras like Ancestral Mask, Auramancer's Guise, and Corrupted Conscience duplicate, Ivy and her companion grow exponentially into lethal threats. The deck maintains substantial card flow through enchantress engines such as Setessan Champion, Eidolon of Blossoms, and Season of Growth, which draw multiple cards per Aura cast. Single-mana protection spells like Royal Treatment and Snakeskin Veil also duplicate, providing hexproof to both threats for a single green mana. While the deck possesses explosive combat clocks and robust targeted shielding, it remains reliant on combat steps and vulnerable to mass board wipes that bypass hexproof.
