Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger and Amass strategy commanded by Saruman, the White Hand. The primary objective is to cast low-to-mid mana value noncreature spells to rapidly grow a massive Orc Army token with built-in ward {2}. Once the Army achieves substantial power, the deck leverages evasion enablers like Assault on Osgiliath, Rogue's Passage, Minas Morgul, Dark Fortress, and Glamdring to eliminate opponents through lethal combat damage, supplemented by burst direct damage from Fling and Bolg of the North. Secondary powerhouse engines like Lord of the Nazgûl and Sauron, the Dark Lord provide wide token backup and hand replenishment. While the deck boasts robust on-curve mana reliability with 41 lands and resilient commander ward protection, it remains susceptible to tall-token vulnerability, sweepers, and the tempo tax of casting its four-mana commander before initiating spell velocity.
