Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos combo-control list built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug possesses flying, haste, and indestructible, and creates Treasure tokens whenever he takes noncombat damage. The deck accelerates quickly through fast mana, rituals, and rocks to cast Smaug ahead of curve. Once Smaug enters the battlefield, spells like Blasphemous Act, Cut Propulsion, and Fire Covenant deal massive damage to Smaug without destroying him, creating 13 to 20+ Treasure tokens in a single turn. The deck converts this sudden mana explosion directly into a same-turn victory using Torment of Hailfire, Blazing Sunsteel, or token-drain engines such as Mirkwood Bats and Marionette Apprentice. High card quality, board wipes, and tutors ensure consistent and resilient execution.
