Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Voltron and midrange attrition strategy commanded by Kraven the Hunter. The primary plan casts Kraven early, eliminates opposing high-power creatures with cheap fight and removal spells, and converts those deaths into +1/+1 counters and card draw. Kraven's native trample lets him push through blockers once boosted by equipment like Blackblade Reforged, counter multipliers like Kami of Whispered Hopes, or Phyresis. A dense package of 1- and 2-mana protection spells keeps Kraven safe from targeted removal and destroy sweepers. If the primary Voltron plan stalls, high-mana threats such as Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus and Army of the Damned provide wide-combat backup win conditions. The deck curves out smoothly with solid land-based ramp and heavy creature interaction, but relies entirely on natural draws to access its key win conditions and token payoffs.
