Deck overview

This deck is a Boros Donate and Ally tribal aggro deck led by Iroh, Tea Master. The central strategy revolves around casting Iroh on Turn 3, using its ETB Food token or low-cost artifacts to donate permanents to opponents during combat. Each donation creates a scaling Ally creature token with +1/+1 counters equal to the number of permanents you own that opponents control. The 99 is filled with bad gifts like Steel Golem, Grid Monitor, and Pyromancer's Swath, alongside self-donating tools like Akroan Horse, Bucknard's Everfull Purse, and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. These gifts disrupt opposing game plans while continuously enlarging Iroh's Ally tokens. Once a critical mass of large Allies is assembled, the deck closes out the game around Turn 8 through team-wide combat modifiers such as Sokka's Charge, Resolute Blademaster, Kabira Evangel, and Taunt from the Rampart. While the deck recovers quickly from commander removal, it lacks instant-speed mass protection and tutors, relying on natural draws to find its decisive combat finishers.
