Oloso Giving and Taking Life by user6855314

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic leads a slow-burning Esper lifegain-control deck. Its main route to victory is an infinite drain loop: one 'opponent loses life, you gain that much' half (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) plus one 'you gain life, opponent loses life' half (Sanguine Bond, Vito, Defiant Bloodlord, or similar), with Oloro's own upkeep life-gain providing the spark. A secondary line chips away with Oloro's draw/drain activation, Sheoldred, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler. The commander is best kept in the command zone as a free lifegain engine; casting him converts that into card advantage. There is no hidden commander.
