Deck overview

This deck is a Bant Midrange strategy led by Isu the Abominable that combines snow permanents with +1/+1 counter scaling. The early turns focus on accelerating mana through snow rocks, dorks, and land ramp. Once Isu is deployed on Turn 5, it generates steady card advantage by playing snow lands and spells directly from the top of the library while growing larger with each snow permanent that enters. The deck transitions into the midgame by deploying game-ending threats like Body of Research, Abominable Treefolk, or Marit Lage's Slumber, pairing them with evasion from Garruk's Uprising and Aqueous Form. Defensive countermagic and Teferi's Protection shield the board against sweepers, allowing the deck to close out the game through overwhelming combat damage or an alternate win with Simic Ascendancy by Turn 8.
