Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu combat swarm strategy commanded by Tsagan, Raider Warlord. The primary objective is to curve out with efficient early creatures and token generators, build up speed counters, and leverage first strike and double strike keywords to maximize Tsagan's team-wide attack buffs. Attack triggers from staples like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, and Isshin, Two Heavens as One flood the battlefield with attackers while Impact Tremors and Agate Instigator soften opposing life totals. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by Turn 5, turning wide token boards into overwhelming combat damage via Tsagan's scaling power boosts or an amplified Akroma's Will. Card draw engines like Welcoming Vampire and Caretaker's Talent maintain gas, while Boros Charm and Selfless Spirit protect the army against sweepers. Although vulnerable to heavy interaction and exile sweepers, the deck applies relentless, compounding pressure.
