Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck executes an aggressive, go-wide Vampire tribal strategy augmented by aristocrat drain synergies and a compact two-card infinite combo. Capitalizing on Edgar's eminence ability, every Vampire cast generates immediate token presence from Turn 1 without ever needing to cast the commander. The deck accelerates through high-efficiency ramp and tutors to deploy explosive mass pump effects like Shared Animosity, Cathars' Crusade, or Coat of Arms, generating lethal combat pressure starting around Turn 4. Opponents attempting to stabilize against combat face reach from drain pieces such as Blood Artist, Sanctum Seeker, and Malakir Bloodwitch. Furthermore, the inclusion of Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity gives the deck an alternate instant-win condition that bypasses combat entirely. While vulnerable to repeated sweepers and holding minimal countermagic, its low curve and command-zone engine provide rapid recovery.
