Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul midrange strategy led by Bello, Bard of the Brambles. Bello turns non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments with mana value 4 or greater into 4/4 Elemental creatures during your turn. These animated permanents gain indestructible, haste, and combat-damage card draw. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2, casts Bello on Turn 3, and begins deploying high-impact 4-drop enchantments on Turn 4 to attack immediately. By stacking damage multipliers like Gratuitous Violence, Berserkers' Onslaught, and City on Fire, the deck scales combat damage exponentially while drawing extra cards every turn. Because your permanents stop being creatures on opposing turns, traditional creature board wipes leave your engine completely unharmed. You close the game through overwhelming combat damage over two to three attack steps while shielding Bello with cheap instant-speed protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Defend the Rider.
