The reaper, King no more by cp93

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a -1/-1-counter combo/aristocrats deck in Jund. The primary plan is to assemble Yawgmoth, Thran Physician with two token producers (Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses) and a drain effect (Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat), then sacrifice tokens to Yawgmoth to put counters, draw cards, and trigger death-pinging until the table dies. The Reaper acts as a value/recursion piece, stealing opposing creatures that die with -1/-1 counters and providing bodies for Yawgmoth. Secondary lines include an infinitely large Quillspike via Devoted Druid/Mikaeus, and a wither/toughness lock with Maha or Kulrath Knight. The deck is interactive and resilient but goldfishes slowly.
