Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari deathtouch aristocrats deck built to grind every creature death into cards, mana, and life loss. The Serpent Society amplifies the core plan: whenever another deathtouch creature dies, each opponent sacrifices a nontoken creature, while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Poison-Tip Archer, The Meathook Massacre, and Cauldron of Essence convert those deaths into table-wide drain. The deck floods with deathtouch bodies and tokens via Ophiomancer, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Hornet Queen, Grave Titan, and Awakening Zone, then feeds them to Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, or Priest of Forgotten Gods. The primary win is an infinite sacrifice loop with a drain payoff - Reassembling Skeleton + Ashnod's Altar + Pitiless Plunderer, or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons - with attrition through Kokusho, the Evening Star recursion as the backup. The commander's ward tax of five poison counters makes it difficult to remove early, but the deck does not actually depend on it.
