Deck overview

This is a Mono-Blue Instants-and-Sorceries value deck helmed by Fblthp, Lost on the Range. The commander provides sustained card advantage by enabling you to plot from the top of your library, effectively giving you a second card each turn. The deck is densely packed with cheap cantrips, draw spells, and scry/surveil effects (Ponder, Preordain, Brainstorm, Consider, Otherworldly Gaze) to churn through the library and stock the graveyard for Murktide Regent and Torrential Gearhulk. Board presence is generated through token producers like Talrand, Sky Summoner, Docent of Perfection, and Metallurgic Summonings. Win conditions include overwhelming opponents with evasive threats, or achieving the alternate win condition with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries by drawing from an empty library. The deck controls the early game with counterspells and bounce, then pivots to value-generation and combat inevitability.
