Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and focuses on executing an infinite drain combo using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. With Vito on the battlefield, any life gain causes an opponent to lose life, which triggers Exquisite Blood to gain life, instantly forming an infinite loop that eliminates all opponents at once. The deck features a powerful tutor suite to reliably fetch combo pieces alongside fast mana rituals and rocks that accelerate deployment to Turn 4. Passive drain engines like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and The Meathook Massacre provide chip damage and life stability while controlling opposing creatures. While the deck possesses immense win inevitability and redundant combo pieces in the 99, its lack of stack protection and artifact removal leaves it vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and countermagic.
