APPLE PIE!!! by thekeycourier

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a focused Mardu "air force" build around the ultimate cheat-into-play commander, Kaalia of the Vast. The plan is acceleration into an early Kaalia, then convert each attack trigger into a free Angel, Demon, or Dragon before chaining extra combats to multiply those triggers. The marquee kill is the classic Master of Cruelties line: Kaalia's trigger drops the Demon in tapped and attacking, its ability sets a player's life total to 1, and Kaalia's own 2 damage finishes that opponent in the same combat. Aurelia, the Warleader, Bloodthirster, and Isshin, Two Heavens as One multiply Kaalia's triggers per turn, while Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Neriv, Heart of the Storm turn every swing into a blowout. The 99 carries a full reanimation suite - Reanimate, Animate Dead, Whip of Erebos, Reya Dawnbringer, Emeria Shepherd - plus Sneak Attack as a second cheat engine, with Liliana's Contract as a demon-count alternate win and Armageddon as a finisher lock. Kaalia, Zenith Seeker in the 99 acts as a backup tribal-digger.
