Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan dual-tribal midrange strategy built around Olag and Miau, New Friends. It weaves together Cat and Zombie synergies to generate wide creature boards, distribute +1/+1 counters through cross-type triggers, and punish opponents with direct life drain on each of your end steps. Efficient two-mana green ramp spells accelerate deployment, allowing the commander and key token engines like Esika's Chariot, Arahbo, the First Fang, and Felidar Retreat to establish presence by turn 4. Token multipliers such as Anointed Procession, Doubling Season, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation turn modest token creation into overwhelming board states. Redundant life-drain effects from Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Corpse Knight ensure that tapping creatures to attack or generate mana with Cryptolith Rite directly converts into unavoidable life loss for all opponents.
