[Primer] Shigeki Land Control (duplicated from Phenn) by Zigmund_Froyd

Format: Commander

Commander: Shigeki, Jukai Visionary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shigeki, Jukai Visionary is a mono-green land-ramp deck that turns a high land count into a single lethal combat step. The commander's activated ability digs four cards, drops an extra land, and fills the graveyard, while its channel mode returns key nonlegendary cards to hand. Secondary mana doublers-Nissa, Who Shakes the World, Mana Reflection, and Virtue of Strength-convert forests into enormous amounts of mana. The usual finish is a hasted token/land swarm with Triumph of the Hordes, or a huge Awaken the Woods after a massive ramp turn. It is not a combo deck and relies on consistency of ramp rather than tutoring. There is no hidden commander; both faces are the same card and the deck uses both modes.
