Deck overview

The deck uses Marneus Calgar as both a token payoff and a card-flow engine. Its core pattern is to deploy a token producer, cast Marneus Calgar, draw from each token-entry event, and convert the growing hand into more creatures and combat pressure. Elspeth, Storm Slayer, Kaya, Geist Hunter, Intangible Virtue, and The Flesh Is Weak improve the board, while Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Leonin Warleader, Thalisse, Reverent Medium, and Inquisitorial Rosette provide repeated token production. The deck has solid ordinary ramp and broad but expensive interaction. Its main weakness is speed: most meaningful threats cost four or more, many lands enter tapped, and it has little tutoring. A normal game reaches a serious attack around turn 8 and finishes through several combat steps rather than a compact combo. The list is resilient enough to rebuild, but it must protect its commander and token board from sweepers.
