Graveyard party by Mazzy

Format: Commander

Commander: Nethroi, Apex of Death

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Nethroi, Apex of Death is a mutate-based mass-reanimation commander whose 5/5 body is the engine rather than the win. The deck fills its own graveyard with cheap mill and then casts Nethroi for its seven-mana mutate cost, returning any number of small creature cards totaling ten power or less. Those returns set up an infinite persist loop with Safehold Elite and Vizier of Remedies, fueled by Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder and drained by Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Cruel Celebrant. Syr Konrad and Jarad provide backup damage while Deadbridge Chant and Dread Return give the deck a long-game recursion path. There is no double-faced commander; the list is built around Nethroi's mutate trigger.
