Smaug's Big Bang by Entotun

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon-Treasure midrange deck built to bury the table in artifact tokens and convert them into incremental damage and alternate win conditions. The primary plan is simple: cast dragons, attack with dragons, and let Treasure production - from cards like Ganax, Astral Hunter, Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, and the commander himself - snowball into a critical mass of artifacts. From there, the deck closes games through the ping-engine trio of Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, and Weftstalker Ardent, the sacrifice-drain of Mayhem Devil and Mirkwood Bats, or outright alternate wins in Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and Knuckles the Echidna. Smaug the Impenetrable is a classic beatdown commander: his hasty, indestructible 8/7 body plus his noncombat-damage Treasure burst makes him both a clock and a payoff, though the deck's engine lives mostly in the 99.
