Ben Bateman’s Spellslinger but Vivi! by UpsetITGuy

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is a spellslinger/pinger combo deck. The primary plan is to land Vivi early, grow her with cheap noncreature spells, and convert every such spell into burn plus mana. Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph acts as a hidden amplifier, turning each 1-damage ping into 3 against each opponent. Secondary paths are the Underworld Breach + Lion's Eye Diamond + Lotus Petal + Wheel of Fortune/Brain Freeze storm-mill line and the Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity/Ophidian Eye/Tandem Lookout infinite draw-ping combo. The commander is an engine but not a combo piece; the deck can pivot to Gandalf, Coruscation Mage, and Saheeli/Third Path token generation if Vivi is unavailable.
