Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. It focuses on curving out efficient Zombie creatures, generating incremental card draw, and converting creature power into expansive token armies. Gisa serves as the primary engine, sacrificing high-power or recursive creatures like Gravecrawler to flood the battlefield with 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck supports this swarm strategy with multiple tribal lords that grant +1/+1, deathtouch, and menace, turning modest boards into lethal attacking forces. Simultaneously, aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel punish opponents for clearing the board and provide reach to close out games through direct life drain. While vulnerable to artifact threats and instant-speed sweepers, the deck maintains high resilience through graveyard recursion and asymmetric creature wiping via Noxious Ghoul.
