Gorgans Whisper, Vipers Bite by mwdishaw

Format: Commander

Commander: Aphelia, Viper Whisperer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Aphelia, Viper Whisperer leads a Golgari Snake and Gorgon tribal deck centered on deathtouch synergies and lethal life loss combos. The deck establishes early board control through cheap deathtouch blockers while Aphelia creates an expanding swarm of Snake tokens. The primary path to victory leverages Aphelia's activated ability, which forces opponents to lose half their life upon taking combat damage from Snakes or Gorgons. Pairing this trigger with damage doublers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz or Wound Reflection turns any unblocked creature into an instant knockout. Secondary lines use Vorpal Sword, massive Exsanguinate drains powered by Cabal Coffers, or hard untap locks with Shisato, Whispering Hunter.
