Deck overview

This deck is a classic Jund Aristocrats engine helmed by Korvold, Fae-Cursed King. The strategy focuses on establishing cheap sacrificial fodder and outlets in the early turns, deploying Korvold on Turn 4, and utilizing its explosive card-draw trigger to churn through the library while compounding table-wide life drain. The list features dense functional redundancy across sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar and Viscera Seer, recurring creatures like Gravecrawler and Bloodghast, and drain payoffs including Blood Artist, Mayhem Devil, and Mirkwood Bats. Without high-speed tutors or fast mana, the deck functions through raw card velocity and recursive value engines rather than deterministic two-card combos. Its main strengths lie in immense card draw, resilient graveyard recursion via spells like Living Death, and potent on-board creature suppression. However, it exhibits vulnerability to targeted commander removal, graveyard exile, and a thin reactive interaction suite against noncreature threats.
