Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Bird typal combat deck that converts low-cost flying creatures into a relentless airborne assault. In the early game, it establishes board presence with efficient fliers such as Battlefield Raptor and Watcher of the Spheres while developing mana through signets and cost reducers. The commander, Kastral, the Windcrested, acts as an engine that provides card advantage, team-wide buffs, and creature reanimation whenever Birds connect in combat. The midgame compounds this advantage through coastal piracy enchantments like Bident of Thassa and static lords like Empyrean Eagle and Kangee, Sky Warden. High-impact asymmetric cards like Raise the Palisade clear opposing blockers, while Moonshaker Cavalry provides explosive burst finishes. Backed by cheap countermagic and targeted removal, the deck maintains steady pressure through the air to eliminate opponents across successive turns.
