Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and attrition build designed to ramp aggressively into its 7-mana commander, Toxrill, the Corrosive. Toxrill serves as a continuous, asymmetric board wipe by placing slime counters on all opposing creatures at the beginning of each end step, steadily shrinking opposing forces by -4/-4 each table rotation. Dying creatures generate 1/1 Slug tokens that fuel Toxrill's activated ability to draw cards and sustain resource dominance. Supporting synergies include Sludge Monster to erase creature abilities, proliferate spells like Tezzeret's Gambit to accelerate slime placement, and Gisa, Glorious Resurrector to steal opposing creatures. The deck protects its centerpiece with equipment like Lightning Greaves and Neurok Stealthsuit while utilizing counterspells and mass bounce to disrupt noncreature threats. It wins by converting its board control into lethal commander damage and wide Slug swarms.
