Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive toughness-matters engine led by Arcades, the Strategist. The game plan leverages low-cost defender creatures with disproportionately high toughness, converting them into efficient attackers while drawing cards upon entry. Early turns establish mana acceleration and deploy high-toughness walls. Once Arcades enters on Turn 3 or 4, every subsequent defender replaces itself, rapidly generating card advantage and building an overwhelming battlefield presence. The deck protects its board using premier defensive spells like Teferi's Protection, Dawn's Truce, and Ghostway, while breaking parity on asymmetric board wipes such as Slaughter the Strong and Retribution of the Meek.
