Deck overview

This deck pairs Sliver Overlord with Zirda, the Dawnwaker as a companion by ensuring every permanent card has an activated ability. Instead of running tribal Slivers, the deck exploits Overlord's ability to tutor Changeling cards. With Zirda reducing activation costs by two mana, Overlord tutors Amoeboid Changeling for a single mana, allowing you to turn any creature into a Sliver and take control of it indefinitely for {1}. The kindred instant Shields of Velis Vel lets you turn an entire opposing army into Slivers and steal every creature that player controls in one turn. Dense low-CMC ramp ensures fast color fixing, while an extensive suite of multi-card recursion spells like Reconstruct History and All Suns' Dawn provides long-term engine sustainability.
