Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald that converts exile-based card advantage into an expanding army of 2/2 Wolf tokens. It leverages mechanics such as cascade, adventures, and impulse draw to trigger Faldorn naturally while maintaining resource flow. Mana development follows a conventional curve, ramping reliably on turns 1 to 3 before deploying Faldorn and establishing an operational token engine by turn 4. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around turn 6 with heavy hitters like Etali, Primal Conqueror, Nalfeshnee, or Passionate Archaeologist, generating substantial card advantage and burn. Because it relies primarily on unhasty combat damage to eliminate all three opponents, its clock extends over several turn cycles. Defensively, it relies on high-impact reactive staples like Deflecting Swat and Force of Vigor, but remains susceptible to mass sweepers that wipe out token boards.
