Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos combo-midrange build centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug provides an indestructible 8/7 flying threat with haste that generates Treasure tokens whenever it takes noncombat damage. The primary win condition is a two-card infinite combo with Blazing Sunsteel. Once Sunsteel is attached to Smaug, any damage dealt to Smaug triggers Sunsteel, which repeatedly targets Smaug to generate unlimited Treasures and then directs lethal damage to each opponent for an immediate same-turn kill. The deck accelerates this game plan using premium fast mana, explosive rituals, and black tutors. A robust suite of stack redirection spells protects the combo from exile removal. If the primary commander line is disrupted, alternative win conditions like Underworld Breach loops, Torment of Hailfire, and Walking Ballista provide strong secondary paths to victory.
