Talrand Mono Blue by Tewkat

Format: Commander

Commander: Talrand, Sky Summoner

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue instant/sorcery "spells matter" control deck built around Talrand, Sky Summoner. The plan is straightforward: survive the early game with counterspells and bounce, land Talrand, then convert every instant and sorcery into a 2/2 flying Drake. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins by accumulating an evasive flying army and overwhelming the table through repeated spell-casting and card draw. Supporting token producers like Master of Waves and Ojutai's Summons provide a second angle, while Bident of Thassa, Thassa, God of the Sea, and a deep suite of cheap cantrips keep the engine fed. It is a fair, grindy deck whose primary strength is controlling the pace of the game until the Drake swarm is large enough to kill all three opponents.
