Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir control and aristocrats engine commanded by Toxrill, the Corrosive. Its primary game plan revolves around controlling the early board with efficient counterspells and sweepers before deploying Toxrill on Turn 6. Once assembled, Toxrill establishes an asymmetric creature lockdown, placing slime counters on all opposing creatures at every end step to wipe out utility creatures and generate an army of 1/1 Slug tokens. The deck converts these tokens into card advantage, mana, and game-ending life drain through aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Mirkwood Bats. Additional synergies with Maha, Its Feathers Night and Sludge Monster ensure opposing creature boards remain completely suppressed. If the primary creature control plan is contested, the deck retains potent independent backup lines, including an infinite token loop with Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs, as well as the compact Demonic Consultation and Thassa's Oracle win condition.
