Don Andres Thievery by AgentGrif

Format: Commander

Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis theft and value engine helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade. Its primary strategy is to acquire control of opponents permanents through a dense suite of steal effects-permanent theft like Control Magic and Agent of Treachery, temporary threaten spells, and exile-and-cast effects such as Stolen Strategy and Court of Locthwain. Don Andres gives all creatures you control but don t own +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, transforming stolen creatures into formidable attackers, while casting noncreature spells you don t own generates Treasure tokens for ramp. The deck s main win condition is the infinite combo between Kiki Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts (or any untap effect), with Goblin Bombardment or Altar of Dementia as payoff. Secondary wins come from combat damage with stolen creatures or from cheating out huge threats like Emrakul, the World Anew via the many card advantage engines.
