Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Spellslinger Storm engine commanded by Codie, Vociferous Codex. The core game plan focuses on deploying early artifact ramp and casting Codie on Turn 3. On Turn 4, Codie activates for {4} to generate {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} and prime its cascade-like ability. Casting an instant or sorcery triggers Codie to exile cards until finding a lower-CMC spell to cast for free. This initiates a storm sequence fueled by high-efficiency rituals like Dark Ritual and Cabal Ritual, amplified by spell multipliers like Bonus Round and graveyard recursion from Past in Flames or Mizzix's Mastery. Once storm count exceeds 20, the deck closes the game immediately via Tendrils of Agony, Brain Freeze, or Grapeshot. When Codie is unavailable, the deck pivots into hardcasting dragon value engines and creature payoffs such as Storm-Kiln Artist combined with Haze of Rage.
