Deck overview

This deck utilizes Child of Alara at the helm of an indestructible Gods tribal strategy. The central game plan focuses on establishing durable, indestructible Gods such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Klothys, God of Destiny, and Erebos, Bleak-Hearted during the opening turns. Once the setup is in place, the deck deploys Child of Alara and immediately sacrifices it using versatile sacrifice spells like Diabolic Intent, Morbid Curiosity, or onboard outlets like Bontu the Glorified. This creates a devastating asymmetrical board wipe that destroys all opposing nonland permanents while leaving the player's indestructible army intact. Following the reset, the deck capitalizes on an empty battlefield by attacking with high-powered Gods, granting evasion via Thassa, God of the Sea, and chaining extra combats with Waves of Aggression. Alternatively, assembling ten mana allows The World Tree to put all remaining Gods onto the battlefield at once for an instant burn victory.
