A Queen and her Knights by TinfoilRat

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose heads a Grixis tempo-aggro deck that turns dethrone counters into repeatable recursion and extra combat phases. The primary plan is to play evasive or unblockable attackers, put +1/+1 counters on them, then let them die and return each end step while Scourge of the Throne, Karlach, and Combat Celebrant chain multiple combats. Secondary lines use Sneak Attack to cheat creatures out with haste and recur them, monarch/Court payoffs to grind, and a compact Dualcaster Mage + Three Steps Ahead token loop as a finisher. Scourge of the Throne is the de facto hidden commander, since the deck is built around its dethrone extra-combat payoff.
