Format: Commander

Commander: Kambal, Profiteering Mayor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov tokens-and-drain deck helmed by Kambal, Profiteering Mayor aims to generate a wide board of creature tokens while draining opponents through repeated life-gain triggers. The commander punishes opponents for making tokens by copying them, and rewards you for making tokens with a life-drain each time. The primary win conditions are incremental drain via Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Vizkopa Guildmage combined with lifelink or token ETB triggers, plus big X-spells like Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless. A secondary path uses Divine Visitation to turn tokens into 4/4 flying angels for combat. The deck grinds value through recursion engines like Smile at Death and Zoraline, Cosmos Caller, and draws heavily from Necropotence and Phyrexian Arena.
