Commander: Liliana, Heretical Healer // Liliana, Defiant Necromancer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats/reanimator deck helmed by Liliana, Heretical Healer, built around a simple loop: creatures die, you profit. The deck deploys a dense suite of sacrifice outlets (Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician) and drain payoffs (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance) to convert every death into life loss, while a deep reanimation package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Victimize, Sheoldred, Whispering One) keeps the engine fed. The primary win conditions are infinite-drain combos - Yawgmoth, Thran Physician with an undying creature, or Pitiless Plunderer with a recursing body - plus big X-spell finishers (Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire) powered by Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. Liliana flips into a reanimating planeswalker, but the deck's real strength is its redundancy: every role has multiple interchangeable pieces.
