Doran Duran by szntaxerror

Format: Commander

Commander: Doran, the Siege Tower

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Doran, the Siege Tower turns this Abzan creature deck into a toughness-based beatdown. The primary plan is to ramp into high-toughness midrange threats-Grave Titan, Pelakka Wurm, Woodfall Primus-and attack with them under Doran's damage-replacement ability. Avenger of Zendikar and Craterhoof Behemoth form the explosive overrun finish, while Skullclamp, Phyrexian Arena, and Eternal Witness provide grind. A low-to-the-ground aristocrat drain package (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant) is a secondary route when creatures die to wipes or sacrifice. No hidden commander exists; Doran is the central force, but the deck can still play a fair value midrange game if he is answered.
