Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger control deck built around Judith, Carnage Connoisseur. The strategy revolves around using Judith's ability to give instant and sorcery spells deathtouch and lifelink, transforming cheap mass-damage spells like Blazing Volley and End the Festivities into one-sided board wipes that gain massive amounts of life. Once the board is controlled, the deck shifts to burning opponents down using Judith's alternative mode to spawn 2/2 Imp tokens that deal 2 damage to each opponent upon death. Additional damage comes from punishing creatures like Guttersnipe, Kaervek the Merciless, and Brash Taunter. Because the deck eschews infinite combos and tutors in favor of redundant board control, its clock is slow and incremental. It excels at suppressing creature-based strategies and stabilizing against aggressive decks, but struggles against fast combo decks and heavy removal targeting Judith.
