Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Simic midrange strategy led by The Astonishing Ant-Man. It converts card draw into +1/+1 counters and turns those counters into 1/1 green Insect tokens on demand. The deck accelerates into play by casting the commander on Turn 2, then layers repeatable card-draw engines like Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Bident of Thassa, and Sylvan Library to rapidly swell Ant-Man's size. Counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and Loading Zone accelerate this growth. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by creating a wide token army or pumping key attackers, bypassing blockers using Herald of Secret Streams, Champion of Lambholt, or a one-sided bounce spell like Wave Goodbye. A comprehensive suite of instant-speed protection spells and countermagic shields the board against opposing removal, allowing the deck to close the game across two combat rotations.
