Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari +1/+1 counters midrange deck piloted by the partner commanders Rocksteady, Mutant Marauder and Bebop, Skull & Crossbones, with Umori, the Collector serving as an all-creature companion. The core strategy casts Bebop on turn two to search Rocksteady into hand, followed by casting Rocksteady on turn three. Subsequent creature spells trigger Rocksteady to distribute +1/+1 counters onto Bebop and other attackers, allowing Bebop to draw multiple cards each turn upon dealing combat damage. The deck leverages this card flow to flood the board with synergistic creatures that multiply counters, grant trample, or provide evasion through pieces like Champion of Lambholt, Corpsejack Menace, and Loyal Guardian. It closes games through combat damage across turns six to eight. The companion restriction trades instant-speed interaction and protection for maximum creature density, relying on ETB utility creatures for removal and death triggers for post-wipe resilience.
