Endless Punishment - Upgraded by Odium

Format: Commander

Commander: Manabarbs and Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a black-red group-slug/pain deck built around Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. Manabarbs is listed as a co-commander in this custom list but is a nonlegal enchantment; it acts as a hidden land-tap punisher rather than a second general. The main plan is to make every draw step, upkeep, and land tap deal damage to all opponents while Valgavoth converts that damage into card draw and counters. The fastest kill is a life-drain loop using Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood with Starscape Cleric, Enduring Tenacity, or Vito. A backup burst line uses Peer into the Abyss with Psychosis Crawler and Fiery Emancipation. Valgavoth accelerates the plan but is not required for the combo.
