Deck overview

This Grixis deck focuses on Rat tribal aristocrats and direct burn helmed by Wick, the Whorled Mind. The deck establishes an early curve of low-cost Rats and Changelings to generate and rapidly inflate Snail tokens. Once Wick is deployed, it functions as both a heavy draw engine and a direct-damage cannon, converting Snail power into table-wide burn and fresh grips of cards. Damage doublers and triplers like Gratuitous Violence and Fiery Emancipation amplify Wick's activated ability into game-ending bursts of damage. Supported by efficient spot removal, flexible countermagic, and token producers like Song of Totentanz and Totentanz, Swarm Piper, the list maintains relentless pressure while refilling its hand each turn cycle. The strategy reliably sets up its engine by Turn 5 and closes out games on Turn 8 through unblockable burn and wide combat attacks.
