Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is a Golgari Elf-ball deck that turns a wide board of Elf tokens into a combo finish. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with cheap Elves and token generators, then end the game with Craterhoof Behemoth or Triumph of the Hordes. Lathril serves as a token engine and a drain outlet; her activated ability can also end the game once enough Elves exist or if the Staff of Domination combo produces infinite mana. Secondary plans include an infinite-mana engine using Priest of Titania, Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, or Marwyn with Staff of Domination, and a big X-spell finish with Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire. The deck is commander-moderate: it runs with or without Lathril, but she dramatically accelerates the clock.
