Deck overview

This deck is a Temur combat-trick strategy helmed by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The core game plan is to ramp into Xyris, protect it with a dense suite of hexproof/indestructible instants, and then pump it to deal massive combat damage. Each successful hit draws a huge number of cards (both you and the opponent) and creates a swarm of 1/1 Snake tokens from the opponent's extra draws. The deck leans heavily on its commander as the primary threat and engine, with a secondary plan of incidental damage from other creatures like Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion and Sunder Shaman. It has no infinite combos, no tutors, and minimal recursion, making it a linear, high-variance strategy that can explode in one turn but struggles to recover from disruption.
