Deck overview

Jace, Multiverse Architect commands a four-color control deck designed around the polymorph archetype. By entirely excluding low-cost utility creatures from the 99, every creature and planeswalker in the library is a massive game-ending threat, such as Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Archfiend of Despair, and The Ur-Sphinx. The deck uses noncreature token generators like Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Lingering Souls to create cheap fodder. On Turn 4, Jace enters the battlefield and immediately uses his −3 loyalty ability to exile a token and flip directly into a bomb. A dense package of 11 two-mana rocks ensures rapid, reliable mana fixing across WUBR. Backup transmuters like Proteus Staff, Mass Polymorph, and Synthetic Destiny provide powerful alternative lines to cheat multiple bombs into play. Board control is maintained with efficient spot exile and sweepers while large flying threats close out the table.
