Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is the recursion engine for a Shadowborn Apostle demon-toolbox. The hidden commander is Shadowborn Apostle: six sacrificed Clerics put any Demon directly onto the battlefield, and Shirei returns those 1/1s every end step, allowing one free Demon tutor per turn. The primary plan is to land Shirei, activate the Apostle chain to assemble at least four differently named Demons, and win with Liliana's Contract. Secondary lines are Dreadfeast Demon's exponential token copies and Exsanguinate fueled by Pitiless Plunderer treasures. The deck is mono-black and resilient to board wipes via mass recursion, but it is vulnerable to graveyard hate and has almost no stack interaction.
